X60s - Is the built-in 3G mobile Mobile Broadband adaptor locked?

2011-05-29, 13:24 PM

Can someone confirm whether the Sierra Wireless HSDPA Network Adaptor is supplied locked or unlocked on the X60s? Just bought an X60s and was told the internal SIM slot is unlocked and would take any SIM card but for some reason it's taken an unhealthy dislike to my T-Mobile SIMs.

When I load the ThinkVantage Access Communications Wireless Connection Staus window and click on the Mobile Broadbad tab, at the top above the Connection Status box I get the message "SIM card is locked...."

When I load ThinkVantage Access Communications and press the Mobile Broadband button, I get the following message "The installed SIM card is not authorised for use with integrated Mobile Broadband adaptor in your computer."

This latter message seems to suggest that Sierra Wireless HSDPA Network Adaptor is locked.
