Hello,
I am running Windows 7 32-bit on a X61 7676A14 machine.
My problem is resuming from sleep, I can not get it to work.
Hibernate is working fine, only sleep is the problem.
I have tried "Allow hybrid sleep" both on and off with the same result.
If I do put the computer to sleep and wake it up again, using the power button, the fan starts but the display never lights up. It also sounds like the HDD starts running, but the screen remains black.
The only thing you can do is to hold the power button to turn it off, if not it runs like this until the battery is emptied.
To my knowledge I have all the new drivers for Windows 7 and Lenovo.
Details: Product 7676A14, Serial: LV01871, BIOS: 7NETC1WW (2.21)
If someone knows what I can do to correct this resume from sleep problem it would be highly appreciated.

same problems with the x200 tablet running win 7. In addition, WiFi (intel 5300 AGN) is unstable lossing connections when opearated after resume from sleep. Tried a number of suggested workarounds, nothing works...Got the latest BIOS and Drivers...It is so disapointing and frustrating to have to reboot all the time...

Identical problem. Reposted today. Sorry, can't offer any other help.

This happened to me on both Vista Business 32-bit and Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit. I don't believe its a Windows issue. Maybe something in the BIOS. I have not been able to find a solution. At the moment, I can only turn on, or turn off my machine. Sleep and Hibernate do not work.

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on a X61 7676-3PM, with 4GB of RAM and it is not having any problems at all in waking up from sleep. It was the same under Vista Ultimate x64.
How much memory do you have installed in your X61? Have you added anything else to the base system configuration?
Cheers,
Bill

Hi,
I have 3 GB of RAM in the machine. I had also had 3GB RAM on XP and did not experience this problem there.
Nothing else has been added to the system, no external devices connected either.
How could this be related to the wake from sleep problem?

One more thing.... do you have the same bios version as me?

I did a repair install with Windows 7, that solved it for me. Both sleep and hibernate are working now,

I am having the same problem. How is the repair install accomplished?
Thanks.

Same question here: How do you exactly fix the problem? Do you necessarily have to install Windows 7?
And, one more thing -- not to discourage those who think their computer is working just fine although... -- but mine started to have these problems a few weeks ago. The IT guys where I work haven't been able to pinpoint what might have triggered the problem and they have no idea how to fix it.
Thanks a lot.
