charging my x1 carbon 6th gen with 45w usb-c powerbank

Can my laptop be charged using a 45W type-c  generic power bank?

Or i can use only Lenovo products to charge it?

I have an x1 carbon, 6th generation

Thank you!

Re: charging my x1 carbon 6th gen with 45w usb-c powerbank

I believe 3rd party power banks can be used. Lenovo-branded is the better bet for compatibility, though. The key is matching the voltage and using a power bank that's Power Delivery capable. I know that sounds redundant, but some power banks only deliver 5v to a USB-C connection. I dug through the hardware manual for your computer and didn't notice the voltage required, but it'll be listed on the AC adapter that shipped with your computer.  If I had to make a guess, I'd bet it's 19 or 20v. So, if the power bank you're getting can recognize it's connected to a device that requires a higher voltage and then deliver that voltage, it'll work.  If it can't recognize what it's connected to, it'll drop back to 5v.

If you can look up a compatibility list for the power bank in question, that might give you some guidance.
