finding @ and £ keys on my x61 keyboard?

2014-04-07, 11:33 AM

hiya,

can anyone help me with annoying problem with my X61 keyboard?

Bought it second hand, and some of the keys, "2" for example, has three characters on it  -   " at the top, 2 in the middle, and @ at the bottom - my problem is, how do I access the lower character @?  (i've typed this using the on screen keyboard!). I'm running Windows 7. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks for replying and for directing me to the Wikipedia page.

At last I think I've got it, although the characters on the keys don'always tell you what you're going to get, you've just got to try and remember the layout of a UK keyboard; e.g. pressing the shift + 7 keys gives you the ampersand character &, although there's no indication of this on the keys.
