2018-08-10, 21:50 PM

i reasently updated my intel graphics driver and i saw that my lenovo solution center showed 1gb of video memory instead of the 2 gb of memory written in the intel spec sheet for the intel hd graphics 4400.
i tried to find a reasent driver, but the drier that i had installd was the most reasend.
I'd really appreciate your help with my problem.

LSC does not identify items correctly at times.

Your Intel HD graphics 4400 acquires Ram memory for use.

This acquried Ram memory is always reported as 128GB or similar, totally wrong.

Reported memory is a static entry in registry; it acquires memory from ram dynamically.

This helped me too

The System RAM used by the Intel HD Graphics 4400 is dynamically allocated by the Windows OS, and thus the amount of system memory actually in use will vary based upon the needs of the operating system and all running applications, but is limited to a maximum of 2048 MB on your CPU.     Windows also fallaciously reports 128mb of dedicated RAM, but that is just to fool older video games. and does not really exist.

more memory is needed with higher resolution displays

anti-aliasing needs quadratic more, wich is why cards for 4K are 8GB  and more

Thank you for your answer.
I checked the video memory in my display dirver properties again and i saw that there were 2gb of available video memory.

I think i just got really confused with the reading of the lenovo solution center and the intel driver and support assistant.

Thanks for your help again

Intel graphics use system memory, so its a good idea to have 8GB or more memory installed
