Does anyone no what thme cause hmay be and how to possibly fix it? Thanks in advance.

some of the fluid may have sipped into the ciruitry (maybe with capillary effect? It shorted some circuitry hence having the double keys or no keypress detected effects. It will be worst as it progress. I experienced this on my R60 when the water was not taken care of in time.

You may want to pry out ALL the keys, take out the keyboard and let it dry as best as you can. Use some air blower and blow warm air gently from all the small gaps you see, hoping that this may dry up the fluid inside. Normally these are at the bottom of the keybaord as the top where the keys are, have plastic covering protecting the keys contact with the keyboard.

Look also on the bottom and sides of the computer if there were any sippage dripping onto the motherboard.

I don't think so, it is best to use towel to wash the keyboard during the spill and let it dry for 24 hours or more before use. Now that it has turned to solid....I guess the physics is to turn it back into fluid or vapour B-).....It will be very difficult as the fluid may be between the small circuitry.

Anyway, it happened to my keyboard and the left and bottom sides were infiltrated and many keys cannot work. I had to buy a used off ebay and replaced it.

I wonder if you can take out the entire keyboard and just rinse the whole thing out.

I figure as long as you let it completely dry out before you reconnect it should work.

But then again I only pretend to have a clue.

wait here. Recently my keyboard partially stopped responding on x120e too. I now use usb keyboard, there was no spill in my case. I called lenovo and they said they need to inspect it which may take a while - like the other problems I have that where recognized but never taken seriously. I can't work with a laptop now so I'm stuck.

Maybe this issue is relatd to the latest update like the synaptics ultranav 15.3.27.1 (I think it started just after) or one of the other latest updates?

My 'n', backspace and a few other keys stopped working they might work for a few seconds after restart/wake. What's your situation?
