power adapter for X1 Yoga 4th Gen

2021-08-20, 13:43 PM

My power adapter is broken after 1.5 years. It was a 65W USB type C power adapter, now when I searched on the Lenovo website it says it is compatible with 45W. Which power adapter should I buy for the best compatibility?

Thanks for the suggestion!

Hi,

You can use either 45 or 65 watt.  65 watt will allow you to use rapid charge/charge faster than the 45 watt.  It came with either originally see below psref.

Plus you can see which charges are compatible in the option compatibility matrix below

If it was me I would get a 65 watt so it will charge faster--thats just a personal opinion.  I have a 45 watt from another brand for another brand work laptop and the 45 watt gets hot if my battery is depleted and I using the laptop heavily while charging which did not happen if I use my lenovo 65 watt on my other brand work laptop....  Again just my opinion.  I dont work or speak for Lenovo.
