Re: thinkpad x230 problem

If you mean that screen comes back after you press enter on your hard disk? If so it could be. Your hard disk no longer bootable due to Windows is damaged or something else caused the drive to lose its boot so then you would need a reinstall but it could be another issue causing it so I will let some one else give you more ways to fix this.

Re: thinkpad x230 problem

i know what you mean, i had this problem as well but it turned out USB stick i made didnt have proper boot setup on it so then my laptop would keep throwing boot menu back like yours is doing so it looks like your hard disk has lost it's proper boot so then your laptop keeps making boot menu come back straight away, to confirm this try making a bootable usb of linux os like ubuntu or anything based on linux from another pc and if your pc is UEFI due to windows 8 or 10 then make sure linux os has UEFI compatibility so when you get boot menu select USB and see if you can boot into it, if you can from the live mode enter your hitachi drive from file manager and see if you can find any files if it fails to be able to enter the hard disk then mostlikely drive is RAW or something else has happened to it so it cannot boot anymore, so then you would have to format it and see if you can install os onto it and then boot into it.
