My fingers get very sore from using the trackpoint. Does anyone else have this problem?
I keep having to switch fingers and they are all sore now, except pinky. I really need a solution for this. Is there something I can do to make the trackpoint more sensitive and responsive? I currently have it set to the max of "Light Touch" and pointer speed to "Fast".
I have used Thinkpads for years and have surely experienced "Trackpoint Finger Syndrome". However, there is a new Trackpoint cap that has helped me alot. If you have a newer Think Pad it might have been included but not installed. It is the "recessed dome" or "cup" cap. This cap reduces the force needed to move the cursor by 10X. You may even need to change your settings back to normal after installing it.
In this photo it is the one on the left. You won't believe the difference until you try it.
