where's the light switch

2010-10-04, 3:38 AM

X200 user here.

I've looked online and in the thinkvantage section without luck. Lacking a manual there seems not to ve any informaiton on a basic issue like 'where is the switch to turn on the external light near the camer lense at top of screen?'

Help?

Hi syrahnose,

Welcome to Lenovo Forums.

To turn on the ThinkLight, Hold Fn and press PgUp button. Same goes to turning it off.

We've written a KB article on available features on the ThinkPad as well. You may read it here.

thank  you for helping me. It did take considerable searching but I did find the answer FN and page up key buried in the maintainance manual. I've had my x200 for a year now. so it's not a good look that Lenovo have made finding the answer so un-ergonomic.

In defence of Lenovo, my Thinkpads have all had indicators on the keys as to the relevant function that you can access by pressing them with the Fn key.

It's worth working through them and seeing exactly what each does...
