2020-09-22, 2:50 AM

trying to replace my lcd on my 1st gen x1yoga. the replacement does not have what i think is called the sensor card.

https://download.lenovo.com/lts/RTPW1470/FOF/RTPW1470-X1Yoga_REM_FRU_24_SensorCard.mp4

but it does not look the same as mine. it looks like on mine there is some tape covering and not covering what they are removing. i can attach photos if needed.

replacing the lcd touchscreen. what you say would seem to be the case but if you follow that link it shows a tiny pcb about the size or your middle toe at the bottom edge. it didnt come on my replacement part which means it can remove and replace. which is exactly what i want to do trouble is my old lcd does not look the same as in the video. mine has plastic covering the connections. how should i get the plastic off without damaging the delicate ribbons underneath? do i try cutting it carefully along the very edge? let me post photos it might help.

The parts in your picture are the lid, the light sensor, the camera module and a flat ribbon cable.  The LCD isn't shown.  Nothing that you show would be included with an LCD, so I am confused.
