x1 carbon (20FB) sim card

2017-02-09, 14:25 PM

Have X1 4th Gen, won't see micro-SIM card, which works in an external TP-Link device.  Preinstalled with HUAWEI Mobile Broad Band Module, which appears to be working.

Sim Card loads into slot firmly and locks in place.

Any and all help appreciated

Just to double check:  contact side up, notch facing inward (i.e. insert notch first).  Pushed in with something small (like a tiny screwdriver or toothpick) until it makes a satisfying clicky noise.

Someone posted a video on youtube showin the proper insertion:

Is this how yours is inserted?

May be a moot conversation as X1 went DOA on day 6, receiving replacement hardware tomorrow - apparently identical, but with out the fatal flaw!
