x1 carbon bluetooth problem

Hi my X1 carbon will not stay connected to other bluetooth devices for more than 5-10seconds before disconnecting.

The devices are headphones ,speakers and my nokia lumia 920.

I was previously able to stay connected to these devices

One device that will stay connected is my Nexus 7

I havent tried much because I dont know where to start

Device manager says all devices are working properly and drivers are up to date

Re: x1 carbon bluetooth problem

Hi,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

I’m sorry to hear that Bluetooth in your Lenovo ThinkPad X1 carbon is frequently getting disconnected.

Try unchecking "Allowing the computer to turn off this device to save power" in Device Manager->Bluetooth Radios->ThinkPad Bluetooth 2.1 with Enhanced Data Rate->Properties->Power Management.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,

Mithun.

Re: x1 carbon bluetooth problem

Hi,

You have to change the default playback device in control panel -> Sounds to Bluetooth headphones.

Best regards,

Mithun.

Re: x1 carbon bluetooth problem

Mithunr ,I have tried this ,but still the headphones do not get sound. I have had the laptop since new and it is about 3 months old.

The headphones worked when I first got it.

Im also not getting sound from my Sony Bravia TV when I attach a HDMI cable and adapter to the display port.

Im not sure if the 2 problems are related.

I can not find the Sony Tv in the device list

Re: x1 carbon bluetooth problem

Hi,

Could you try reinstalling the audio drivers?

If you have any difficulty in finding the drivers, please share the MTM number of your device so that I can assist you with the drivers.

Regards,

Mithun.
