x100e Win7 64 Bit with GOBI 2000

Just installed the Gobi 2000 WWAN (ATT) into a new x100e.

It is running Win7 Pro/ 64 Bits..

I installed the latest Access Connections, latest x100e Bios, and Gobi WWAN Drivers

from the Lenovo product support site- but the adapter is failing on startup.

Access connections begins to connect but then gives a red x by

"Powering on adapter"

When I use the FN+F5 hotkey to check it - I am unable to power on the adapter

manually (WLAN powers on/off perfectly)

What could be causing this problem?

thanks,

-bill

Re: x100e Win7 64 Bit with GOBI 2000

OK -Just installed the latest BIOS, and all the recent power management updates.

The WWAN radio finally powers on- and I noticed the presentation of the FN-F5

menu has been changed with a "Master Control" switch-

which must be enabled before powering on the individual radios.

So it must have been some sort of power management/ x100e BIOS/ Gobi WWAN driver issue.

So far so good- but I am going to keep testing some more...
