x121e hinge : thailand service center ?

I've got some trouble on my x121e : the left hinge is broken (and the screw doesn't work any more).

I bought it in France and now I'm in Asia. I'm gonna travel in Thailand soon and I'd like to go to a lenovo service center in Bangkok to fix it.

Do you know if the warranty is valid to repair the laptop in Thailand ?

Lenovo service center says :

"This product has a one year limited warranty and is entitled to parts, labor and carry-in repair service.  In some countries, courier service will be provided. Many parts can also be delivered to you using theCustomer Replaceable Unit (CRU) method."

Many thanks

Re: x121e hinge : thailand service center ?

Usually hinge is not covered as part of warranty, but this problem is quite common in the X121e hinge due to its design.

Hi, nebucad_nezzard

When it comes to International Warranty Service, Lenovo has this tool right here that will tell you if service is available in a country. It will also tell you what kind of service you can receive in said country. Put in your machine type and see what you can do!
