x121e mobile broadband

2011-09-29, 20:39 PM

Hi. I have just bought an X121e which comes with "integrated mobile broadband" . I cannot set this up. The manual states that there is a button in Lenovo think vantage tools but none appears. I have tried using the Internet connections/access connections button but the access connections screen has the mobile broadband button greyed out. Tried downloading new drivers but they all refer to WAN broadband cards (which are not fitted to my machine).  Any ideas gratefully rec'd thanks.

hey ditton01,

when you go to Device Manager and look at the integrated mobile broadband, was the brand attached to it ?

anyway, try removing Access Connection and use Windows built-in connection wizard.

Hi Serge1410

Thanks for reply. However, in Device Manager, under network adapters, the only ones shown are 2X2 11a/b/g/n wireless LAN PCI Express Half Mini Card Adapter; Atheros AR8151 PCIE Gigabit Ethernet Controller; and Microsoft Virtual WiFI Miniport adapter.
Have removed Access Connection but Windows connection does not recognise any mobile broadband.
Thanks
