x131e 3367 bricked after bios update

Hello, I have bougt used x131e 3367. After successful update of drivers (Win8) using System update 5 I decided to update also offered new bios. After flash and restart I can hear only beeps 1-3-3-1. I have tried to find solution to recover BIOS but no luck. Solution with wincrisis does not work for me. I have tried to use e_bcpvpw.exe with $0AG9000.FL1 file but no luck - Source file format not acceptable - missing header!

Suggestion are welcome.

Thank you.

Re: x131e 3367 bricked after bios update

Hi, mb242

Did you add the new memory stick, replace it or do something else with it earlier?

What did you look for inside of .fl1 file?

I see no CMOS backup battery on the MB. I believe there should be at least one Smiley Happy.

Re: x131e 3367 bricked after bios update

Beeps combination you mentioned is memory related. So firstly try to replace it with correct one.

I didn't ask you hex code. What's the search purpose?

Re: x131e 3367 bricked after bios update

When I was looking for solution I found that beeps means memory issue but there was no beeps before update. So I was looking for solution to update bios when beeps come. One of solutions is to update bios using sw+bios file on  usb. I will try other memory modules and will see.

Thank you.

Re: x131e 3367 bricked after bios update

OK,

if memory stick are preinstalled from Lenovo' factory BIOS upgrade can't cause beeps issue. There might be issues if memory stick parameters are not the same as officially supported.

I think you're finding the name of BIOS recovery file name. Have you a file fvrecovery.fd in the folder where BIOS update tool is unpacked in?
