I have an x200 that produces a constant medium-pitched noise from the audio on the Ultrabase. The noise does not change based on the volume level (or mute state), mixer settings for playback or record, or anything else--the noise is constant. It's not excessively loud, but loud enough to be annoying in an office environment.
I hear the noise from the x200 Ultrabase speakers and from headphones/speakers connected to the audio-out port on the back of the Ultrabase. However, when undocked the noise is not present on the internal x200 speaker or on headphones connected to the x200 headphone port.
The problem is not with my Ultrabase because I have two of them (one for home and one for the office) and both of them have the same problem.
I'm using the latest Windows Vista x64 Conexant audio drivers from System Update (Conexant High Definition SmartAudio 221 v126.96.36.199).
Anyone else have this problem ? And perhaps a solution ?
