since yesterday my year old laptop started to turn off (without proper procedure) everytime i unplug the power chord. Then i have to remove the battery and then reattach it to restart it again otherwise it wont start at all. the "thinkvantage" shows battery condition is good and proper. Could someone help?

Yes it does. It even starts on its own if i shut it down on battery. As mentioned earlier however, i have to remove it and reattach it if i charge it anyhow. It seems connecting to the power plug is the problem. But how do i solve it?

I'm not sure which the model number is so I'll just type whatever is mentioned underneath the model, 3626AM5, S/N XXXXXXXX. And the OS is Windows 7 Pro. And the drivers and the bios are not up-to-date. You see, I still use dial-up.

I don't know whether you're running 32bit or 64bit but here's your page for drivers.

Or you can install Lenovo's system update and let it install them for you.
I'm not quite sure, but there's probably a bios update that addresses your issue. You could download the updates one at a time and install them from the folder that they downloaded to. But I think you should update your drivers so nobody can blame your problem on outdated drivers.
