Re: x220 Brightness Keys Fail after Hibernate

I still have this issue. Any updates to this?

I am testing the idea of deactivating WWAN (UMTS) module based on this post:

I also have an issue with the on screen display after hibernation http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkVantage-Technologies/Bug-On-Screen-Display-level-indicators-sometimes-shows-half/m-p/764297 The workaround that works for me is to press the microphone mute button first after restoration from hibernate. I have WWAN module installed.

I have also tried this workaround, but no luck?!?!

I am willing to upgrade to Win8 to move away from this issue, if it helps?

Did an all manually update and found that the hotkey did not update using TVSU. Hope this will fix the issue!

Re: x220 Brightness Keys Fail after Hibernate

Hi, i'm sparking up this old thread again.

Have any of you found a solution to this problem ?

I have a X220i and have tried both Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and Ubuntu 12.04.

In my case my Wireless stoppes working and my FN-buttons won't respond.

I'm puttig the computer in Sleep, not Hibernate. I have disabled Hibernate in CMD.

When I sleep the computer and wait for around 20-30 minutes the problem occours, and I have to reboot the computer in order for it to work. I have made consistent tries over and over with 30 minutes and the same problem happens everytime.

Hope we can find a solution :)

I have same problem on Lenovo M490s.

After resuming from hibernate sometimes my brightness keys is stopping working.

Also there is a visual bug on volume/brightness bar. Its appear and in 0,5 sec is disappear.

Windows 7 x64 Professional.

Is there any workaround?

No antivirus, no firewall. Just fresh install with latest drivers.

Also there is no hotkey feature integration software available for Lenovo M490s. Had to take it from M490.

I did alot of reading and searching on this and as for my X220 it was a BIOS problem.

I updated the bios to 1.39 and this fixed the problem for me.

Thanks for the reply.

But I have 1.04 latest BIOS installed.

I have found some solution to this problem. When I hibernate the notebook I'm just waiting for complete shutdown and only then closing the LID.
