Now when i open my thinkpad it feels flimsy and bends the side a bit.

It looks like there something inside broke, was wondering if there is anything i can do to fix it.

Re: x230 Broken Display Panel(Pics inside)

Hi,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

I’m sorry to hear that the rear panel of the display got broke/loose in your Lenovo ThinkPad X230.

From the pictures you have sent, it seems that reseating the panel would resolve the issue.

Refer the hardware maintenance manual to see how it has to be done.

If reseating doesn’t help, I strongly recommend you to contact our technical support for assistance.

Click here to open a link where you can select the country and get the exact contact support number. I’m sure they will be a great help.

If you are comfortable in replacing the faulty part on your own, I would recommend you to visit here to buy replacement parts. Find the FRU number from the Products and Parts detail page by entering the MTM number of your machine in “QUICK PATH”.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,

Mithun.
