x240 Keyboard

Just wondering if it were possible to swap a non-backlit keyboard with a backlit keyboard on the x240? If so, what is involved?

I know that it was possible for the x230, but wasn't quite sure about the x240.

Re: x240 Keyboard

Yes, it's possible.

Common question here. For examlpe:
Another laptop series, the same solution. Of course, .pdf files differ.

x220 • Gobi 2000 3g | hdd, msata ssd, wwan, wifi, gps -- unique hand-made config
ThinkPad 25 Special Anniversary Edition. #retro. Signed by D.Hill
T470p | X1 Carbon Gen3 | Miix 2 10" | Yoga Tablet 2-1050F (Android) + BT Keyboard
ThinkPad Stack • 2.4/5 Wireless Router, HDD 1 TB, BT Speaker, Power Bank, Mobile Projector

Do it well, worse becomes itself

Re: x240 Keyboard

As for me, I replaced my keyboard recently to a backlit one, only to find out that the alternate special functions of F1, F2 and F3 keys (mute, volume down and volume up) are not working. The funny thing is that the indicator lights up when the computer is freshly booted, but DOES malfunction after a few minutes. What's weird is that the NORMAL functions of F1, F2 and F3 keys are STILL WORKING.

Can anyone suggest a solution for this?
