x240-x260 Hot CPU/Fan always on

2018-01-12, 10:22 AM

Hi,

We are experiencing issues with our x240-x260's Win 7 64-bit laptops

Windows 8.1 and up seem to be ok so far

The CPU is reaching 70 degrees and even goes up to 75 degrees in one case we have seen so far

We have checked the task manager and the CPU looks fine, everything is appearing normal (CPU levels are average not high at all). Memory is also looking fine.

Battery is also dead between an hour or 2 as well.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Thanks

Can you quantify CPU levels being 'average'? With no programs running, or programs running but not performing tasks, CPU usage should be 0-1%.

Also, are there any warnings/errors in Device Manager?
