x250 loose contact?

2018-09-24, 0:00 AM

I have recently been experiencing that when I pick up my x250 with one hand, lid open, that the display goes haywire and the laptop freezes. Has anyone experienced this. It started only when I picked it up on the left side, but seems more sensitive lately in general. Loose contact? Short?

sounds like you have damaged your machine, laptops are not a rugged as tablets so some care is needed

Problem seems to be solved, although I'm not sure what did it.

1) Opened the back, cleaned contacts for memory, checked contacts for battery and HD.

2) Cleared CMOS with internal battery detached

3) What surprised me was that when opening the back, most of the screws were quite loose, perhaps enough to comprimise  the integrity of the structure of the case and affect contacts of memory or something else when picking it up?

A HD scn and Lenovo system scan came out totally clean afterwards

This helped me too

i noticed machines need all the parts snug to  work properly, which is why I disect them occasionally for repairs

usually a bunch of BS to get a no whitelist BIOS for the machines

new machines need to resort to NSA trricks to fix them
