I am the owner of a new Lenovo X260 laptop and it is a beautiful computer (although I MUCH prefer the size of the keyboard of my old X220 and X230). Anyway, I am having a huge issue where when I use the ultranav middle button to scroll, Cortana pops up. I have tried everything to disable this, and looked and seen others are having this issue. Is there any way to solve this? It is extremely annoying.
My driver version is Synaptics Pointing Device Version 18.104.22.168

My X1 Carbon 2016 has the same issue. Leonove releases a stupied update of synaptics, which directly disable the middle button, no more Cortana and no more function. Do not update.

I'm having exactly same probelm with my new x260.
This is a really annoying issue that makes the trackpoint completely pointless. This needs to be addressed immediately. Please fix this LENOVO!

It has already been fixed. Please consider upgrading your UltraNav driver.

I can confirm this problem occurs on Thinkpad X1 Carbon (2016) with Windows 10 Pro ( https://youtu.be/6OrSnRtoT6w ).
I found a minimalistic workaround using AutoHotkey that basically consumes the Win + S key sequences (which causes Cortana to open and which the middle mouse button also generates). For a one-click download "patch" and full details on the problem (and a discussion on known workarounds), please go to:
Hope this helps

Same issue here. Back in business now.
It is Windows and not the drivers. As you've mentioned the middle button initiates the Windows+S hot key. Therefore disable that specific hotkey.
DisabledHotKeys = S
If you are using OneNote, it will consume the Windows-S key now for Screen Clipping. I use Z therefore the OneNote screen clipping key will be Windows+Shift+Z. Value is in Hex. 41 for A (will content with the Action menu in Windows 10) or 5A for Z
ScreenClippingShortcutKey = 5A
