x270 & x280 SSD adapters?

Hey all,

I have an x270 & x280 which i would like to copy data from their SSD's

the x270 SSD has a cable that I have never seen before - DX270 M2 SSD CABLE (its name of the cable) does anyone know of an adapter that i can use to plug into my laptop and get data please?

Also same for my x280, - looking on amazon for correct adapters but each one i look at, im not sure if it fully supports it. my x280 SSD is this M.2 SSD / PCIe NVMe, PCIe 3.0 x 4, 32Gb/s (e.g. xxxGB SSD M.2 PCIe NVMe)

Can anyone help please? thanks in advance

Re: x270 & x280 SSD adapters?

If both SSD are m.2 PCIe NVMe, get single m.2 PCIe NVMe to USB3.0/3.1 adapter (enclosure) for SSD. Its cost depends on the interface type on the laptop side.

Note, such adapter doesn't support m.2 SATA SSD, so, get another adapter if you have this drive in x270.

BTW, why don't you copy the data via the network?

x220 • Gobi 2000 3g | hdd, msata ssd, wwan, wifi, gps -- unique hand-made config
ThinkPad 25 Special Anniversary Edition. #retro. Signed by D.Hill
T470p | X1 Carbon Gen3 | Miix 2 10" | Yoga Tablet 2-1050F (Android) + BT Keyboard
ThinkPad Stack • 2.4/5 Wireless Router, HDD 1 TB, BT Speaker, Power Bank, Mobile Projector

Do it well, worse becomes itself
