I'm beginning to have an issue pop up with our new Yoga's. The wireless card just stops working. I go to the event logs and I see an error
Event 5005 netwtw06
Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 : Has encountered an internal error and has failed.
This error is in the logs thousands of times. Could this error be the cause and what is the fix?

Try to mark the date you are having this event issue and compare it from any received update from Windows. If they tally, perhaps you can system restore your machine back to a previous working date.
You can also try running Windows network troubleshooter or simply call in technical support and have them informed. This would allow them to do the remaining steps such as uninstalling and reinstalling the network drivers specially if you have tried updating it using Lenovo Vantage.
After isolating the driver then further checks can be done like ensuring that the wires for the WLAN card is not loose. Such is not required to be done when you still have warranty covering your machine and tech support can help you provide a working plan for you.

There were a lot of WiFi issues caused by Microsoft's June 2019 Windows 1903 update to Windows 10, so if you do not have the latest Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 driver installed (184.108.40.206 dated 7-2-2019) then I would start by installing that version on at least one system and test to see if it resolves the problem. It can be downloaded directly from Intel here or using the link below.
If you do so, be sure to also install the latest Intel® Wireless Bluetooth® for Windows® 10 driver (version 21.20.0 dated 7-2-2019) at the same time, which is located on the same page Wireless driver.
You don't mention what Yoga model you have, so I cannot tell if Lenovo has posted the latest version yet or not, but usually it take them a while to do so after the vendor posts it themselves, so my guess is that it has not yet been posted by Lenovo.

Might help to know the model of your Yogas and the OS.
Some research shows this to be a bad/old driver and/or corrupted installation of the device. Either use Lenovo Vantage or the support page to find and download the latest driver for your computer. Then, using Device Manager, uninstall the 8265 and reinstall it with the newer driver if there is one.

Thank you to all who replied. I'll start with the steps suggested. The model is 3rd gen x1 yoga with win 10. Haven't upgraded these to 1903 just yet.

ok, this is now happening on all our models of lenovo laptops. they are a mix of p1, t580, x1 carbon, and x1 yoga. This is not happening on our HP or Surface laptops. The wireless card just stops working. sometimes it is from removing the usb-c dock cable, others times it acts like it can't authenticate to the wireless network. some machines are 1809, some 1903. We have updated all the drivers. thanks

I am having this same issue. Over the summer I upgraded my school's wifi infrastructure and this now happening with all of my Lenovo laptops when woken up from sleep mode. Wifi vendor says it's buggy Intel drivers; Intel says it's Lenovo's fault. Love the pointing of fingers as opposed to true customer service.
