BSOD "page fault in non paged area"

2008-02-14, 19:58 PM
Hi all,

I have a problem of getting a stop: 0x00000050 (0x86400000...) error as well with a Thinkpad x60tablet as a TP X61 tablet.
The event log does not record any entries.

I installed Windows xp tablet Edition volume version with service pack 2 and lenovo software updater. Downloaded all necessary drivers and everything works fine.

Then I plugged the Notebook(s) in the ultrabase X6. After undocking there is no chance on cold booting the system.

It remains in that above bsod. If I plug the notebook x60 or x61 to the ubase again, it will boot without problems. Without being connected to the docking station it wont boot anymore Safe mode boot works in all cases. NY1 any idease.

Here is a list of the Windows STOP messages
Usually this is an error of faulty RAM. Try and reseat your memory stick(s).
Run Memtest86+ on each individual stick, then on both.

I do not think it is a RAM problem, cos it happens with all (about four) X60 and X61 (two) tablets I docked. all devices from different production dates.

Besides there is NO problem starting up WITH the thinkpad docked in X6 docking station.

It only happens when the system is ondocked. ntbtlog finsihes before loading ahci driver. Tried several of them with no change.
Same thing with intel gfx chip driver. Tried several from lenovo as well as from intel - no change.

quite confusing and I dont find a way out :-/

Noone else has a X6 tablet with X6 dock and windows xp tablet 2005 SP2 ??

What did you ever do to correct this problem?

I now have the same problem. I downloaded all updates via the Lenovo Thinkpad Update panel, now I continually get BSOD.
