All,

There was a gap in the discussion from Oct to Jan and it sounds like the issue has not yet been resolved by latest BIOS & drivers?

If you are still experiencing these symptoms and have the latest BIOS and drivers installed, would you contact me ?

Public posts to confim are great, and I'll also need model type / serial via PM and customer contact details for our case.

Thanks

Mark

Hi,

I'm still experiencing this issue. I performed some tests last week as I had an opportunity to test my machine with a different keyboard dock. The problem seems to be related to the combination of my keyboard dock and computer, when I tested with a different keyboard dock I had no problems.

I've applied the latest bios update (1.18) and the keyboard dock firmware update.

Hi isacubukcu,

Thanks for posting, current the BIOS v1.18 is available through the TVSU (thinkvantage System update). If you go into programs, do you a see a program that says System update or Solution Centre?

Hi,

Just wanted to inform you that updating the bios to the new version (ver. 1.20) did not solve the problem.

Mark, did you receive my PM's?

Regards

/Dan

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could tell me how to access these system logs? Specifically logs of when the computer goes to sleep, what happens while its asleep and when it wakes up, and the events that trigger each?

Thanks so much.

Re: Helix, windows 8.1. Sleep and power off not working correctly.

Hi

Is this thread about to die out? I'm having a lot of problems in the same direction, and haven't been able to solve any of them.

First of all, Lenovo Helix, 36986CG, W8.1 Pro 64b, Kaspersky Internet Security 2015, Malwarebytes Antimalware, , all updated, incl. BIOS (1.29)

Symtomps: Leaving in on (docked, with or without AC-power), the screen dimms and turns off after the specified time, but when the Helix is going to sleep, something happens. Every time I turn it on again, it's a complete new start, ending up at desktop (as set to do), but all windows and programs closed. If I open Firefox, it starts with "Now, this is embarrasing..." (you know the rest), and offers me the option to restore my tabs. Every time! Like after a crash/BSOD.

To find my machine type, I had a look around in Lenovo Solution Center and found (my computer is danish, but I try to translate the screen messages...) Support > Configuration History and logs with lots of eroors, incl. one from today with blue screen and other serious errors (had to start it up some times, during the morning, as it went to sleep, when I was attending to something else).

Could these reports help to find the problem?

I have to mention that I have reverted the tablet to Windows 8 and re-updated to 8.1 again (no clean reset, I kept files and settings) about a month ago, and have fiddled with settings in both BIOS and Windows/Lenovo, but with no luck. Thinking about to start all over againg, this time completely from scratch. Just not sure about the order to install: Update to Windows 8.1, then run Lenovo System Update, or the other way round? And I'm repelled about the amount of work and time, I have to invest in a complete reinstallation...

I hop Mark or someone else competent is checkin in some times...
