Digitizer Penn Stuck

2008-01-31, 18:52 PM
The side button on my digitizer pen fell off.  Then when I inserted the pen (minus the button) it stuck in the x61 and will not come out.  Any ideas?

Hi tomavey, welcome to the forum,
If you remove the palm rest you should be able to get your pen back. You can find instructions on how to remove and replace it here. (starts at p74 of the pdf)

A shortcut could be to remove the screws around the pen and carefully pull apart the pen bay just enough to remove the pen. Don't pull it apart more than you have to ask you could losen other stuff unintentially.

As for your pen-- until you get a new one, wrap tape (scotch, electrical, something) around the pen to cover the hole. Otherwise it will get stuck every time.
