How do I get access to windows XP tablet edition?

2008-03-27, 2:45 AM
I had to replace my hard drive on my x60 tablet and need to install XP Tablet addition. I only had the regular version of XP which I loaded and realized that a lot of the pen based applications aren't working.   How do I get XP Tablet postion (I can't restore it using rescue and recover) so I am thinking I need to get a CD of it.

My other question is can I install XP Tablet over a regular installation of XP?

Try contacting Lenovo support to see if you can get a restore disc for your machine.

Called support this morning and they are sending the disks....here is my second question...can I install XP Tablet edition on top of XP Professional?  I couldn't wait for the Tablet addition and had to install vanilla XP and my applications.....wondering if I have to do a clean install.

OEM Versions of software often have their upgrade feature disabled so A clean install is neccesary.
By the way, I have a question to ask of you. Was it easy to get disks for your system without a hassle? Did they charge you?
If they did , how much?  Im a new Lenovo user and would like a little detail as to how your customer experience with the company was so far.

Thanks so much in advance,
