Personally my plan was always to "upgrade" to a Haswell Helix 2 next year :)

I'm going to buy a real tablet  this year.

Of course it's not going to be a Lenovo.

On the Haswell front, Razer just announced it's new Razer Blade, it ships in two weeks and uses the  " Future 4th gen Intel® Core™ processor (formerly codename Haswell)".  I guess we'll know more about real-world Haswell performance an battery life in a few weeks when the reviews start coming out.

edit: forgot the link.

I can see that pre orders start 3rd June but I can't see where it says when the Razer Blade will actually ship.

Also given iy is a gaming laptop I suspect it will have desktop targetted chips rather than the more power optimised ones designed for laptops which I understand will ship from Intel a little later.

Not only that, but it weighs nearly 7 pounds. For those that say the Helix isn't shipping, go to CDW, MacMall, B&H Photo. The device has been available for almost a month and can easily be purchased without Lenovo's help.

No, not 7 pounds, 4.1. Pricing is about the same as the Helix for like memory/storage configurations. Note I'm not saying these are comparable systems; the Helix is significantly smaller with its 11" screen form factor, it's detaches into a tablet, etc. I was just interested in seeing how the new comparable Haswell i7 does on battery life compared to my i7 Helix.
