Lenovo D221 lcd out of sync with x61 tablet in extended desktop at highest resolution.

2008-07-21, 16:46 PM

When I connect the lcd to the tablet, the image is right shifted.

The lcd is connected to the tablet using the analogue output connected to the monitor analogue input.

Presentation director allowed me to set both monitors at their native resolution.

I have updated the drivers from lenovo website but to no avail.

No matter how much I try, it refuses to align itself at that resolution.

Strange that the lcd aligned itself only when I changed the D221 resolution to SXGA.

What seems to be the problem?

Would be great if it can work at its native resolution. Else it would be a waste to let all that pixels go to waste as I did not expect a house brand monitor not to be compatible.

Note: I connected the monitor to a Lenovo M55 desktop (xp pro) with no issues.

Hardware Specifications

x61 tablet-> windows vista business 32

native: (1680x1050)

d221 monitor

native: (1400x1050)

Phew! Problem solved. Had to "downgrade" to vista service pack 1.
