Question about Warranty/Thinkpad Protection

2008-05-11, 13:28 PM
I normally don't buy extended warranties on products, but I decided to extend my coverage when I purchased my X61 tablet.  My invoice shows "3 YEAR THINKPAD PROTECTION".  When I recently went to the Lenovo site and checked on my warranty information, it shows that my warranty expires 1 year after purchase.

Is this 1 year warranty something different from the 3 year protection that I purchased?  On the Lenovo website where I placed the order, it calls this item "Warranty service upgrades plus Accidental Damange Protection".  I selected the 3 year depot option.  Given that, shouldn't the Lenovo site be reflecting 3 years of warranty coverage?
