Re: Helix Fans Always Running

I have now the 0.62 and did not notice a reduction in fan speed. Do they go silent? I will reinstall just in case. It is weird that it does not work if it fixes your issue...

Tx for the info

as soon as I run it.. my fans go slient. Only when the CPU gets a little warm 60's does it start to run. I would check to see how hot your CPU is running

The fans are at max even when the temp is 42 (just switched on). TPFC activates on startup but no effect on the fans.

hmm.. not sure. Mine runs a lot warmer than yours 50's and 60's and still is off for the most part. Try switching to manual and turn fan off.

All and Lenovo,

Now running TPFC in Smart, after taking advice of others.  Fans now OFF permanently and CPU runs at 43dC.

Anyone else suffering this problem, this is a good temporary solution.  Only v0.62 works for me.

Dave

0.62 does not work for me, in smart mode. I do not understand why. Keyboard dock fan error keeps appearing in startup.

Dear lenovo support. Can you please guide us on what to do with the PCs that keep shoeing the keyboard dock fan error after all the updates indicated? Would a replacement of the dock alone solve the issue. Should we just return the machine if we are in the time Window (that would be a pity)? Please advice. One week with the Helix and unable to stay longer that 10min with it open in clamshell mode.

Same issue with the fans on my Helix (recieved it last week).  Fans are constantly on when docked.  TP Fan Control software seems to have fixed it.

Hi aper2013,

Thanks for posting. I understand your concerns on this and I was just wondering if you have updated have you dated your BIOS and Keyboard firmware for your device?

Do let me know, regards
