Re: When is the Helix release date?

Anyone know what the UK RRP is for the i7 with 8GB of RAM and 256GB SSD? Really keen to get one but wondering how much extra I'd be paying if I could order one now than if I wait until I can order direct from Lenovo.

you mean this : N3Z6CUK ?

or this : Total £1,820.93 ? - which is roughly 2000$, the announced price for the fully loaded version

(I don't know what RRP is :) )

I meant the Recommended Retail Price which I think someone referred to earlier in this thread.

Basically, do we have any idea if that model's going to be much cheaper when it eventually becomes available to buy direct from Lenovo and, if so, roughly how much cheaper. Or so we just not know?

@rberman, I think the UK dispensed with "RRP", and now we just have the "list price", but I don't think anyone will advertise that. ;-)

I noted that LambdaTek are selling it for £1805. I don't think you're going to see it for less that £1800. Everyone seems to quote around that figure.

Please Mister Lenovo, supply French retailers.

After using mine all weekend, I do have to say that I really enjoy it so far.  Windows 8 is a big change and trying to figure it out is about the only frustrating thing.  (but I think I am starting to like it also)

I do have an issue with FN button however.  I was mostly using it in tablet mode, but when I would dock it the fn button is like its stuck.  The light is off, and my f1,f2,f3 buttons will only work with volume settings, not there native functions.

Thanks @davedotnet

I don't mind paying about £1800. Just not keen on finding out a few weeks later that I've paid over the odds just to get it a bit earlier.

Unfortunately, I now see that it's out of stock at LambdaTek. The only online retailer I can find which claims it has some in stock in the UK is WAE+ and I've found some really awful stuff about them online so I think I'll give them a miss.

Press Fn + Esc to activate your Fn button.

LOL thanks for the help.  That was my problem, it was fn key was locked on.  For those of you talking about it not charging usb when in sleep mode, there is a feature for 30day standby battery support I wonder if you have turned that feature on so the device turns off all power to its ports.  Have not tested this but just a theory.
