X230T mSATA sata III or still sata II

2012-08-16, 2:03 AM

I have searched this everywhere but find no answer.

I know the main hard drive in the x230T is sata III. is the mSATA sata III as well it's still sata II?

Many thanks.

mSATA is SATA II (3Gbps). The Ultrabase's Ultrabay gets the other SATA III which is pretty stupid in my opinion. But you'll do fine with something like Crucial M4 128GB/256GB or a current gen Sandforce controller based SSD in mSATA slot. Don't get the intel 310 or OCZ Nocti as they are pretty outdated.

I current have a 128GB Crucial M4 in my mSATA slot, but I'm also waiting for a real good deal on a 256GB 7mm height SSD.
