fans of helix when attached to keyboard

Hi guys, 

  Does your helix's fans make a lot of noise when attached to the keyboard ?

 Even if the CPU temp is only 40 , the fans rotating as crazy ...

Yes, that's "normal" behaviour. When attached to the dock, it runs at maximum CPU; it's slowed down in tablet mode.

 

The answer is to install ThinkPad Fan Control -- a free application that lets you control when the fan comes on. It's discussed in other threads. Problem solved.

Maybe I am deaf, but even when docked I have not really heard my fans.  I typically run Photoshop, so I am surprised I have missed this behavior.
