2009-05-14, 16:48 PM

hi all,

do you kow, if there is a possibility to use two pens simultaneous on a x61t? for example to zoom in pictures; just like you can do it on the iphone with two fingers.

thanks!

you will need OS that has support for dual touch. Windows 7 is one that supports it.

No way, the hardware on X61 tablet is not supporting multiple inputs through the screen for both active digitizer (Wacom pen) and passive digitizer (your finger)

Actually I never hear of multiple inputs for active digitizer at all. It just doesn't designed with this idea in mind.

Actually, all of the "true" multitouch screens used by Apple, Dell, and HP read multiple touch inputs simultaneously, allowing such functions as zoom and rotate to be activated and controlled by two fingers.

The "multi-touch" in this instance is only in regards to it having both active and passive digitizers, not multiple fingers or pens being used simlutaniously.

You guys know that Lenovo probably used this term (multi touch) before apple and all the other companys changed the way

 multi touch works.

The term multi touch for lenovo means that you can use a pen or your fingers to operate the tablet.   Yes it's misleading when apple has their minority report type of multi touch where you can put 2 or more fingers and zoom in and out on an image and rotate it.

That was the reason why I didn't spend the extra cash buying the touch screen from lenovo when it's kinda useless.
