I have an X220 with a WWAN card. I don't use it anymore so I will be switching it out for an MSATA. I will then have two spare large antennas. I know that sometimes you want to match antenna size to wavelenght and sometimes you just want a big atenna. If in wifi, you just want it bigger, well, the WWAN antennas are bigger. Should I swap the wires so my wifi gets the bigger antennas?

You'll gain absolutely nothing by doing so, and might actually end up with worse wireless (802.11) reception...

Good to know that I am not the only one with these crazy ideas. I assume you wouldn't bother removing the wwan atennas for weight/interfearence?
Do you know if the silver metal tape helps the antenna? I had to buy a new back case and I wasn't really able to move it over. If it is part of the antenna, how much is ideal?
