When I got X60t from factory, I remember having my 8 cell battery lasting for about 7-8 hours, as is advertized. Few months ago battery suddendly died.
I bought new 8 cell battery (Sanyo cells inside) and started using it 2 months ago. But it lasts at maximum only 4-5 hours (by reading from the power manager estimate)!
First I thought it might be "warming up" when used more and would start to last longer, but this has not happened. I have also performed battery gauge reset, updated power manager, managed the settings to maximize battery life, and disabled all unneccessary programs. These procedures have not helped. Only hardware change has been upgrading memory from 1gb to 3gb of RAM.
Shoud I return my battery as defective or why is this happening? I expected it to have longer lasting charge.
The power manager tells me following specs - are they typical for 8 cell battery?
Full charge capacity - 72 Wh
Design capacity - 66 Wh (less than full charge capacity??)
Voltage - 14.41V
Design voltage - 14.4V
Cycle count - 33 (from 4/2009 to 5/2009)
Manufacturer date - 2007-8-29

Thanks for a thought, I will check this from the seller which is quite large company.
Does anyone have any reference data on how much charge capacity should be?
I think this would be handy for also other people, if it reflects realistically the battery capacity.
