Growing black vertical line down my screen.

2012-06-26, 22:10 PM

Several months ago a small green vertical line appeared down my screen, now it has grown to be a half inch black line and is very bothersome. When I push on top of the frame it gets small. I noticed that I'm not the only one with this problem.  Does anyone about how much it cost to fix? Of course it start about a month after my warranty expired.

Am I wrong to feel that is a manufacturing/quality problem that Lenovo should fix. For the most part I love my X201 Tablet, but if the quality of the Thinkpads is going down, I'm not sure I want to shell out the money anymore.

The very same thing happend here with my x201t 0831

By the way, what is the right screen for this notebook? I'm afraid of buying a wrong screen or seeing it happening again

There is a connection tape along the width of the laptop with a contact for each row of pixels. The tape has delaminated from the panel. This is usually caused by someone squeezing or twisting the panel. You will meed to replace the panel. The cost depends on who does the repair and also which panel you have. (Multitouch vs. pen-only)
