Helix : Bluetooth does not work from cold boot.


If I turn the machine on from cold boot, the Bluetooth will be off, and the option to turn it on or off will be greyed out.

If I reboot the system the Bluetooth comes on and works fine from there.


The bottom line is you have to perform two system boots to get Bluetooth to work so using a mouse and keyboard is still an issue here.


Is there a way I can get the Bluetooth to work normally again? 


As a "Work Around" please follow the steps below. Just to be clear, the below work-around fixes the issue of the bluetooth disabling after a shutdown.


This will require you to disable the Windows 8 fast startup .

1. Go to Control Panel > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do 
2. Click "Change settings that are currently unavailable" 
3. Uncheck "Turn on fast startup"
