Multi touch Vs Pen

Hi Guys,

Last week I bought a lenovo X201-tablet 0831-CTO model through lenovo website in US website by my friend, I am using this laptop in Singapore.

Strange is that, it does not detect finger input, only pen touch is available. Lenovo did not make this point clearly on both of their versions available in the US website.

When I check further, I understand it is designed to use pen only...So embarrassed. Is there anyone who share the same story?

Now my question is, is anyway that can I change the display panel only to have both finger input and pen input?

Thanks guys.

Re: Multi touch Vs Pen

You can't, to my knowledge- the hardware isn't capable of it.
If it's multitouch, you can use your fingers.
If it isn't, you can only use the pen (detailed in this thread: http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/X-Series-Tablet-ThinkPad-Laptops/Lenovo-tablets-multitouch-vs-multitouch...

You could try to find a Lenovo touchscreen panel to replace it with, but apart from that there is no way to make it accept your fingers.
