Hello! I've bought a new x1 tablet gen3 keyboard with jp layout (a fan of small spacebar), and I'm a Linux user. In order to make fn_lock to work, I did some premature experiments and broke my keyboard. https://github.com/libusb/hidapi/issues/105
So that's the background. I'd like to know if there is any way I can recover the firmware? I've contacted some service providers and all of them say I have to buy a new one from Japan, which is quite expensive and takes a lot of efforts. I also did some google search and find there is a firmware but for 1st and 2nd gen https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/tablets/thinkpad-tablet-series/thinkpad-x1-tablet/downlo... . I tried that but the upgrader fails to detect the device (of course, the device is broken).
TLDR, does anyone know how to recover the firmware? Thank you in advance!

Hi Amosbird! Does the keyboard works fine under Windows? If not, then there is a possibility that the issue is hardware and you may want to bring it to any of our authorized repair centers: https://lenovo.secure.force.com/bplocator/ for further assistance.
You can download the firmware or BIOS update from this link: https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/tablets/thinkpad-tablet-series/thinkpad-x1-tablet-3rd-ge.... Hope that helps.
