Need help recovering the firmware of x1 tablet gen3's keyboard

Hello! I've bought a new x1 tablet gen3 keyboard with jp layout (a fan of small spacebar), and I'm a Linux user. In order to make fn_lock to work, I did some premature experiments and broke my keyboard.

So that's the background. I'd like to know if there is any way I can recover the firmware? I've contacted some service providers and all of them say I have to buy a new one from Japan, which is quite expensive and takes a lot of efforts. I also did some google search and find there is a firmware but for 1st and 2nd gen    . I tried that but the upgrader fails to detect the device (of course, the device is broken).

TLDR, does anyone know how to recover the firmware? Thank you in advance!

Re: Need help recovering the firmware of x1 tablet gen3's keyboard

Hi Amosbird! Does the keyboard works fine under Windows? If not, then there is a possibility that the issue is hardware and you may want to bring it to any of our authorized repair centers: for further assistance.

You can download the firmware or BIOS update from this link: Hope that helps.
