RE: SSD Compatibility for X201 Tablet

Hi,

I am looking to upgrade my X201 tablet's HDD to an SSD and am divided between a Samsung 830 and a Crucial C400.

Could anyone confirm whether these would fit the hard drive bay and also which one he or she would choose?

Please and thanks in advance!

i use a Samsung 830 in my X201t, it runs perfectly. It would fit the standard the hdd caddy that you have now.

Thanks!

Do you know if the C400 would fit in the X201T? Reason being, if I purchased the Samsung 830, I would install it in my desktop and install the C400 in the X201T, simply because it would be able to take advantage of the drive's speed.

Let me know and thanks for your help!

Re: RE: SSD Compatibility for X201 Tablet

well the X201t normally uses 9.5 mm thick drives, it is compatible with 7 mm drives. So most of the SSD on the market in 2.5 inch range would fit in the X201t.
