Hello,
I have the issue with Recovery partition on Lenovo ThinkPad Helix. I accidentally deleted this partition when I'm tryed to install custom Windows 7 on this tablet PC.
Thus, I have a question, how can I get this recovery image for Lenovo Helix?
Thank you in advance.

Hi Murdoqq,
Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
If you deleted the recovery partition, you have deleted the files needed to create the recovery media without which you cannot create a recovery media.
If you get the OEM ISO and re install it, the key should register automatically because it’s flashed into BIOS.
Otherwise, you have to call Lenovo Technical Support and order for a new set of recovery discs. Refer here for further information regarding the same.
Hope this helps!
Best regards,
Mithun.

I did the same with my Thinpad 2 and I called Lenovo and they sent me a set of disks. I then re-installed with the disks. It took a while to install but I think that is a very good route to go. After re-installing from scratch with the disks, then just create an image and keep it on a separate drive for future use so you can restore to that image if needed.
The partition with the restore files is nice for emergency purposes, but it does take a chunk of memory.

Hi Murdoqq,
Thanks for the suggestions letti001.
Yes. You have to order for a set of recovery discs.

I can't get recovery disk from Lenovo, representative from Ukrainian Lenovo said that they can't send recovery disks for me because I have erased all data by myself...
Then I got restoration image from my Russian colleagues, but it is not an image files, it's separate files with next folders:
1. boot
2. efi
3. sources
+ bootmgr
When I burned this files into USB flash, I can boot from USB and went to the menu, where listed next option:
1. Troubleshoot
2. Turn off your PC
When I chose Troubleshoot, next menu appears:
1. Refresh your PC - you can refresh PC without loosing files
2. Reset your PC - to reset all files/PC completely
3. Advanced options:
a. System restore
b. System image recovery - Recover Windows using a specific system image file
c. Automatic repair
d. Command prompt
I trying to use System image recovery, but installation envirovment says that "Windows cannot find a system image on this computer"...
Please, help how can I install this images??? On usb stick in folder "sources" i can see install.swm / install2.swm / install3.swm / install4.swm but i can't use them.

murdoqq, have you succeeded with recovery?
I'm having the same problem and would be grateful if someone can send me the images of recovery disks. Unfortunately my warranty has expired few months ago (actually I tried to contact Lenovo support before it expired but got no success with that, I really hate Lenovo now...)

hello everyone! im new here and i hope you can help me. I recently "inherited" a lenovo thinkpad helix (first generation) that has been updated from windows 8 pro to windows 10 pro after the one year period for the free update. So the OS is starting to ask for a new serial number to activate it. I would like to boot into the recovery partition so i can do factory reset with windows 8 pro (with its original oem serial). I read somewhere that one way was presing volume up and start button but it doesnt work. I also tried pressing the f11 key during the initial booting and it doesnt work either. And im guessing that if i click on the recovery mode from windows it´ll just install windows 10 again. Thanx in advance! cheers!
