Replacing hard drive & restoring system

My factory hard drive failed and I had to replace it.  Now I need a way to get the computer back to factory settings with Vista Ultimate installed.  Are there any suggestions?

I did not burn any recovery discs.  How do I check to see if my warranty is still good?

you can check in the link provided. If you are out of warranty you can still get the disks from Lenovo for around 50 to 60 dollars.

Re: Replacing hard drive & restoring system

Will I still be able to install them even though the notebook has no optical drive?

Re: Replacing hard drive & restoring system

you would need an external optical drive to install those discs.
