The SIM tray on the X1 Carbon is a desig failure. The flimsy tray will hold a SIM card for a pico second before it is dropped.
Please get a better plastic manufacutrer.

The older SIM slot design located under the battery is also horrible and fragile. You have to be very careful when remove the SIM because those small metal contacts breaks easily = whole motherboard must be replaced.

I put out my point rather eloquently and thereby threspassed the community rules. The point was to raise a bit of attention, which I got.
Needless to say I warmly welcome a redesign of the SIM - Card tray on an otherwise flawless exquisite and inspiring X1 carbon. It brought me fame, luck and new friends!
I'd be obliged if Lenovo made chaning a SIM card, preferably a micro or minI SIM card less a hassle.
Thank you for your attention!

This is a peer-to-peer forum, so it is not a good place for design suggestions
And where is the right place for design suggestions ? The old Design blog is over in favor of "social" blah blahs.

This is a Lenovo hosted and endoursed forum. I'm not really interested in peering. I peer wherever I like.
I like Lenovo to take action on issues described here.
It is actual customer you talk to here, moderator. Please convey customerst concerns to Lenovo without the patronicing.

As Richk said, this is a peer to peer forum. It's about users helping others users, neither Richk, nor me, nor any other of the Gurus or Mods here in this forum are Lenovo employees or have any commercial affiliation with Lenovo.
That being said, you're free to post here your opinion and express your discontent about a particular design or feature. But if you want to call Lenovo's attention or do a recommendation for a design change, this may not be the right place.
I'm sure you got a feedback card or a contact number when purchasing your product. I would start from there.
