I'm trying to order an adapter for my X200t ultrabase so I can put a serial ata harddrive in it. I thought part # 43R1980 was it and put the order through. It got cancelled.
I called to ask and the guy said it was discontinued?? What am I supposed to use? He didn't seem to know of anything and got me off the phone by saying there's a Serial ATA HDD Adapter III that's on the US site but couldn't get me a part number. I looked and I don't see this on the US site.
I'm trying to order from Canada.
Thanks for your help!

the new adapter use a SATA connection to connect to the laptop motherboard, while the older one use a PATA connection (connected using SATA to PATA converter), which is slower and maybe incompatible with some SATAII drives.
